Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries, and we would love for you to join us as we serve.

Mission Outreach

Both our United Methodist Men and our United Methodist Women are active serving the local community, and most of our missions efforts happen within these organizations. C
ontact Roger Barker (UMM) or Gail Silberhorn (UMW) for more details on getting involved.

We also have several outreach opportunities that depend on donations:
HELP (health equipment loan program) collects new and gently used medical equipment to connect families with medical needs  with the equipment they need. Contact Roger Barker for details.
Feed the Children Backpacks collects nonperishables and packs them into backpacks for children in need to take home on the weekends. Contact Asa Whitaker for details.
Seceret Pals assist Bennie Burks, our visitation director, by providing supplies for Ms. Bennie to distribute to our members who are homebound or in nursing homes. Contact Bennie Burks for details.
SONshine ministry distributes flowers in area hospitals. They are always in need of bud vases and would love help spreading SONshine in our community. Contact Gail Silberhorn for details.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Thursday morning, we have a special prayer service at 7:30am, and our chapel is available for members to pray throughout the day.

Music & Drama
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments.
Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. Still others get involved in drama. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God. If you would be interested in serving in this way, contact Stacey Brown for more details.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. We have members serving as sound technicians at all 3 of our services and at special events. We’re working on providing audio and video devotions and an app for members, and we’re looking to expand our media team. If you’re interested in serving in this capacity, contact Stacey Brown for more details.

Community Breakfast

In Matthew 25, Jesus tells us that when we feed the hungry, we do so for Him. Every Saturday at 8:30am, we provide a free breakfast for our community. We would love your help preparing the food (6:00am) and visiting with those who come (8:30am). Contact Michael Wilson for more details.
